#ISRAELwithPARIS : thousands in Kikar Rabin to support France !
Saturday night, several thousand people gathered in Kikar Rabin in Tel Aviv to pay tribute to the victims of the latest terrorist attacks in Paris on the 13th of November, and to stand with us for freedom.
The French Embassy in Tel Aviv thanks first of all the Tel Aviv municipality, which made it possible for this meeting to happen on Kikar Rabin, a highly symbolic place for the Israeli people.
We also want to show our deep gratitude to the prominent Israeli leaders who attended the ceremony, showed their support to the French people and reaffirmed by their moving speeches the strong bounds between our two countries: Shimon Peres, former President of Israel; Silvan Shalom, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; and Yitzhak Herzog, head of the Zionist Union.
Last but not least, our thanks go of course to all those who attended the ceremony, who were vibrant witnesses of the solidarity between our peoples: members of the Knesset, members of the diplomatic corps, Israeli citizens, French compatriots living in Israel, people from all over the world.
